Web_Design_Faq 1. I just need a one-page site. Is that possible? Of course it is. Astral Web Design caters to all project sizes and we'll be happy to work with you no matter the type of site you desire. 2. How long will it take to design and upload my site? We can have your site up and running within a couple of weeks in most cases. Larger sites with shopping carts may take considerably longer as will sites with custom graphics. 3. I run a small 2 man contracting business...is it worth my while to have a website? Absolutely. Your closest competitor probably has one which gives him that extra edge. Most of our clients are small business's that have neither the time nor the resources to create and maintain a professional website and still have time to run their business. 4. How expensive will a site be? Much less than you may imagine. A basic 3 or 4 page site can cost as little as $300.00 and that includes hosting and domain name registration. At the other end of the scale a large, multi-page (25 or more) Flash site with custom scripts and graphics can cost anywhere from $700.00 to $1500.00. 5. Can I see my site before it's uploaded? Yes. As soon as we begin your design we will send you a link so that you can monitor it's progress. We will not upload your site until you are completly satisfied with the finished project. 6. What happens if I need to put photographs on my site and I only have prints? Just mail your prints to us and we'll scan them for you. We'll then mail your photos back to you and we'll include a CD with all your scanned photos. 7. What happens if I need to update my site? Just let us know what changes you need and we'll be happy to update it for you. If you need to update a shopping cart you will be able to use your Shopping Cart Admin Facility to update it yourself. 8. Do you write your own scripts? We write the vast majority of scripts used on Astral Web Design. We also use other free scripts like FormMail to automate certain parts of your site. 9. When my site is uploaded will I have FTP access to it.? Yes. We will email and surface mail all the instructions concerning your site to you. Please remember that changing settings or permissions on your server may have detrimental effects on your site so be very careful. We will be happy to assist you. 10. What about search engine submissions? Submitting your site to the major search engines is included in your project price. |
